Discover the mountainous north of Vietnam on this six-day journey. Explore the capital Ha Noi, ride the cable car to the Fansipan summit above the terraced rice fields of Sapa, trek to remote hill-tribe villages, and end with a sampan trip through the UNESCO-listed landscape of Trang An in Ninh Binh.
Day 1
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, tour the capital: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and the lantern-lit lanes of the Old Quarter, ending with a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Overnight in Ha Noi
Day 2
Travel northwest through the mountains to Sapa. In the afternoon, walk to Cat Cat village, home to the Black H’mong people, to see the terraced fields, traditional houses, and the valley waterfall before returning to town for the evening market.

Day 3
Ride the cable car up Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina, for sweeping views over the Hoang Lien Son range. Explore the mountaintop pagodas and gardens before a leisurely afternoon among the terraced valleys of Muong Hoa.

Day 4
A morning trek through the Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, meeting local hill-tribe communities along the rice terraces. In the afternoon, transfer back to Ha Noi for the night.

Day 5
Drive to Ninh Binh to visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, then board a sampan for a rowing-boat trip through the Trang An landscape complex — a UNESCO site of caves, rivers, and towering limestone cliffs. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 6
Optional sunrise climb of the Mua Cave viewpoint for a panorama over the Tam Coc valley, then transfer back to Ha Noi and on to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight.
